The Center, also known as the W, works to create a campus environment where women will thrive. We support women in all of their intersecting identities and celebrate the contributions of women on campus and in the larger community. We are a dynamic and engaged learning community committed to social justice and working for equity for all people. The WRC offers leadership opportunities to students and works in collaboration with a variety of campus and community partners.
We started this blog as a venue to discuss a variety of things that affect women, in the global, local, and university contexts. We hope to approach it with an activist spirit, keeping the tenets of feminism and womanism in mind. You will regularly see segments on the following topical areas:
Health and Wellness
Responses to public policy and legislation that impact women
Herstories: Women’s contributions to the world both past and present
We hope to engage with our readership and to grow and develop this blog over time. Thank you for visiting and we hope you come back again!
